How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Job Description Summary:
The Associate Sales Engineer, ALTEC, will be responsible for supporting sales,
service and product management and development responsibilities in the U.S. This is an entrepreneurial position involving broad responsibilities within the IFBE (Indoor Farming and Biomass Extraction) markets business operations of ALTEC, including the development of internal processes in support of field sales
channels and application engineers.
  • Maintain internal schedule tracking for IFBE standard projects in conjunction with maintaining inventory levels for parts and standard assemblies as needed
  • Follow up with regional companies for quoted project to assist with project management and maintain focus
  • Understand technical processes for industrial gas applications and have the ability to diagnose and develop a value proposition utilizing Airgas solutions and equipment to these specific applications.
  • Proactive technical sales support and business development to Airgas’s 16 Regional Companies sales groups using individual’s process knowledge, industry experience and IFBE applications background, but not limited to, the following: order status, part number support, product information, collateral requests, manufacturing lead times, expedited orders, product availability status, pricing information, repair service information, training information, product manuals, and Airgas policy information
  • Negotiates contracts when necessary
  • Qualify opportunities and clarify the scope of the solution

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering preferred. Relevant co-op or work experience and/or training considered.
  • 1-3 years Customer Support experience
  • 1-3 years experience in an engineering or operations role or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Interest in agriculture or biomass a pl
